Botafogo, the club that features Panamanian forward Kadir Barría, will make its debut in the Copa São Paulo de Futebol Junior (Under‑20), commonly known as the Copinha, on Sunday, January 4.
The match will be against Águia de Maraba, a team in Group 22 of the tournament, scheduled to kick off at 11 a.m. local time (9 a.m. in Panama).
Barría, 18 years old and 1.83 m tall, is already listed in Botafogo’s preliminary squad for the Copinha. He has become one of Panama’s football revelations in 2025 after becoming only the second isthmian to play in Brazil’s top division.
The Copinha is an Under‑20 men’s competition that brings together clubs from all over Brazil and is organised by the Paulista Football Federation.
